Today Donald Trump had information about George Washington’s ownership of slaves removed from historic landmarks in Philadelphia. You can read the story here.
What a foolhardy venture to pretend that something didn’t happen when we know from evidence that it did. But such behavior is typical for blatant liars.
I am sorry I didn’t take a picture of those murals in Philadelphia. If you have pictures of them, consider sending them to the Save Our Signs project.
I do have a photo of this mural in Philadelphia, one that affected me deeply.

Many of the forefathers of the United States owned slaves. George Washington was one of them. This country was built on systemic racism. These are facts, not opinions. And to borrow a line from the other side, the facts don’t care about your feelings.
